In our consumerist society, it is very hard not to see an advertisement to buy something you don’t need, and forget the difference between needs and wants. For instance-if you need a new jacket and you go into a store and find a few pairs of pants on sale, do you buy those too? It’s very easy to get off your spending less and saving more track when you are always being enticed by deals.
If you are renting right now, a goal of saving up to owning your own home is a great idea. But, you need a plan. The best way to get your goal of owning a home if you are currently renting is to talk with a mortgage specialist. They can assess your credit (and help you find where you can spend less) and tell you what types of mortgages you could qualify for.
