Marley Park is one of the Valley’s most recognizable community name. Started in 2005, this two part neighborhood has one 3/4 of a mile section in Surprise that is built, with another 3/4 mile non improved area left to build in the future. David Weekley Homes and Bellago are currently building homes on the West Side of Bullard, with Mattamy and Richmond American closing out their home builds in 2017. Ashton Woods is currently building on the East Side of Bullard Ave.
Home Builders in Marley Park are Element, Scott, Randall Martin, Engle, Ashton Woods, K Hovnanian, Mattamy and Richmond American. Homes are between 1300 square feet and 4500 square feet.
The built area is bordered by Cactus to the South, Reems to the West, Waddell to the North and Bullard to the East. The first Marley Park section shares it’s one mile square block with Rancho Gabriela. Marley Park also has two different shopping areas. In the developed area of Marley Park, on the corner of Waddell and Reems, is Basha’s Grocery, along with three salons, Jack in the Box, an office supply and shipping store, Vogue Bistro, amongst others. At the corner of Litchfield and Waddell, in the currently developing section of Marley Park, is Native Grill and Wings and Freddy’s Burgers and Dunkin Donuts. Ashton Woods is currently developing homes in the lots on the East of Bullard. Pulte is planning on doing some development late 2017-2018.
Marley Park features 15 themed parks, one being a City Park that has baseball fields, a huge greenspace, playground and splash pad. Other parks in the community are smaller in area, but have luscious green grass and play areas, including swings, sand areas, climbing features and slides. The private yards in Marley Park can be a bit smaller than other neighborhoods in Surprise, however some have larger lots. Marley Park also features duplex homes and patio homes, which have no private yard. However, the amount of community greenspace easily makes up for the lack in private yard.
Marley Park also features the Heritage Club, a private community center with a meeting room, a teen lounge, a conference/banquet room, full gourmet kitchen and gorgeous outdoor space. There is also the Heritage Pool house which also has a kitchen, meeting space/party room and two pools-one zero entry and a three lane 25 yard lap pool.
In addition to all the amenities, there are also over 150 clubs that meet throughout the year, as well as celebrations at different holidays: The Annual Easter Egg Hunt, The Fourth of July Parade and BBQ, Homestead Harvest Festival (Boo Bash Carnival and Pet Costume Parade), and Home for the Holidays with carolers and Santa photos.
Two schools also are in the Marley Park Neighborhood-Marley Park Elementary which educates children from K-8 and Legacy Traditional School, also K-8, which is a charter school on the East Side of Bullard. Building in the East Portion of Marley Park is resuming in January 2016 with Ashton Woods as the builder for the south remaining portion of Marley Park, and Pulte will begin building a 55+ community in the North Section.
On the North East Corner of Marley Park (the undeveloped area, Litchfield and Waddell), Freddy’s Burgers and Native Wings and Grill are available for those looking for a bite to eat.
Marley Park has an array of different features that are very desirable to families and retirees. I am a resident and a specialist of the neighborhood and would love to have you call Marley Park home as well!
